This is our 2nd day in Palu Indonesia and we are going to have our orientation in SMP Lab School Untad Palu, Sulawesi Indonesia. To be honest, I’m still afraid of facing all the teachers and some heads of the school. Maybe because it’s still my 2nd day plus having difficulties in socializing to some of the people in Palu.
The orientation was so smooth and it’s incredibly successful. At first, we gathered in the laboratory of the school. One of the teachers told us that this facility is still new, the students are not yet allowed to use that room, and we are lucky to be the first to use this area. I got to know also the principal of Junior and Senior high school together with some teachers, it’s nice to see that there’s a lot of great instructor teaching in this school. When the meeting started I truly don’t know what are they doing and talking and thanks to my seatmate he explains that it is a short ceremony before starting the meeting.
Prof. Diah has humbly introduced us to the principals and teachers, he also orient us what are we going to do for 1 month in Sulawesi, Palu. We assigned to teach in junior and senior high school, and it is hard for me to accept that I’m going to teach in the senior class. In addition, Prof. Diah also provides 2 buddies to help us in our everyday life in Palu.
It is a great and successful day for all of us.
